Learn Hypnosis the Easy Way

Hi, we are Mike Mandel and Chris Thompson, and we are the co-founders of Mike Mandel Hypnosis. Together we've been doing and teaching hypnosis for a very long time. Mike started as a professional stage hypnotist in 1975, while Chris got hooked on hypnosis when he saw Mike perform at his university in 1992. By 2008 we had become very close friends and we teamed up to create what you're reading about right now.

We've trained people from all walks of life to be great hypnotists. Some of them are doctors, dentists, or other medical and mental health professionals. Other are hair dressers, personal trainers, interior designers and real estate agents. Anyone can learn hypnosis to change their own life and help others. Some even go on to start a new career as a hypnotist.

Principles before techniques.

So many schools of hypnosis teach dozens and dozens of techniques that can be used to hypnotize someone. If you get caught up in techniques, hypnosis gets overwhelming.

Instead, we teach people to use principles. Once you understand a few key principles, it's very easy to understand how all of the different techniques work. You can even make up your own techniques, or "protocols", as people often call them.  

Mastering the principles of hypnosis will only require you to do a few things really well.  You'll need to know how to capture attention and direct the attention of your subject internal. You'll need to build and maintain solid rapport. You'll need to use language in a way that elicits an emotional response. 

Anyone can learn these principles in a live classroom or online class within a few days.  Then it just comes down to practicing to develop true mastery.

It's really no different than learning any other skill.  Get good training and practise.

Learning is Easy When You're Having Fun!

We have a bit of an unfair advantage.  We love this stuff so much, and we have SO much fun teaching together, that it's unstoppable fun.  It infects the attitudes of our students. When you're laughing as you learn, it all becomes so easy.

This is built-into our DNA. 

It doesn't matter whether we're teaching in a live classroom in Toronto, or at a conference in London, or doing a Zoom presentation for our online students. Everything we do is marinated in fun, and thats why people love our training.

Hanging around like-minded people is usually a good idea when you want to master something new. And this is especially true for people who are new to hypnosis training. That's why we created an incredible community for people to engage with each other.  It's part of our online program, the Mike Mandel Hypnosis Academy (MMHA) and is called "MMHA Engage".

It's widely recognized as one of the most helpful and supportive Facebook groups about hypnosis that exists today. It's open to all of our online hypnosis students who are members of the Mike Mandel Hypnosis Academy.  This is where we, Mike and Chris, engage with all of our members, and where members share with each other.  It's also where friendships are made, and careers are built.
