Who Volunteers to Fly 3000 Miles… For This?

3000 Miles For This

And just like that... it’s over.

I'm writing this in a state of profound exhaustion, though not quite as wiped out as I was yesterday.

After about ten days of focused preparation, which included power-reading nearly forty textbooks, I taught the week-long Architecture of Hypnosis course, running Monday through Friday last week.

And what a week it was.

I'm always amazed by the quality of people who come to Toronto from every corner of the globe to take part in this training. This week was no exception. We welcomed attendees from Sweden, Finland, and a long list of other far-off places.

Some wonderful familiar faces also returned. Lawrence from Ireland and Kathryn from the Isle of Man came back as resource people, once again volunteering their time and covering their own expenses just to support the new students. Julie and her sister Joanna flew in again from Montana, ready to lend their experience and warmth to the group.

And I could easily go on. There were many others whose efforts helped things run smoothly. Mihai traveled from Ottawa, Melissa from Buffalo, Chris from Seattle, and of course my unofficially adopted little sisters, Lisa and Maggie, who always show up and do whatever it takes to help the class flow seamlessly.

From the very first day, the energy in the room was electric. The students jumped in with both feet, eager to learn and willing to stretch themselves. The three men and five women in the Master Hypnotist program especially stood out, pushing themselves hard to reach the next level of hypnotic skill and confidence.

It was also a week of transformation and breakthrough. One student had a peanut allergy lifted. Others resolved long-standing issues. Throughout the course, I installed updated “brain software” into the entire class through layered metaphors and direct suggestion, helping them absorb the material on deeper levels.

As the week unfolded, new friendships began to form. Connections grew quickly within this diverse and welcoming group. That sense of community, of shared discovery, is always one of the most rewarding parts of the experience.

Of course, it was demanding work. I did the bulk of the teaching myself, with solid support from Chris Thompson and Timothy September. Their presence gave me the freedom to step out of the main room and work more closely with the Master candidates on new material I had created for them. It was designed to stretch their minds and skills in all the right ways.

I’ve said it before: I need to be in excellent physical condition to teach this five-day intensive. This time, I was. I dramatically cut back on caffeine and made good use of my hotel room during lunch breaks. Napping and taking a shower in the middle of the day gave me a full reset, something far more powerful than an extra cup of coffee.

The final session closed with our traditional class photo and the closing metaphor, one I always added to resonate deeply and leave a lasting impression. At the end, the entire class stood and gave Chris and me a standing ovation. Timothy had left for home the day before and had already received his round of applause.

Afterward, we all headed across the street to the Fox and Fiddle for catered food, laughter, and a seemingly endless supply of drink tickets handed out by Chris. It was the perfect ending to a truly remarkable week.

Around 7 pm, Chris and I finally said our goodbyes and headed for home, leaving the pub to another burst of applause from this incredible group of students. By now, they’ve all returned to their homes across the world, taking that hypnotic momentum with them. I can’t wait to hear what they do next. I have no doubt they’ll be changing lives, one person at a time.

The Master Hypnotist training for November is already sold-out, and we expect the core training to fill quickly as well.

It would be fantastic to have you join us for the next life-transforming week.

Hypnosis Training for $1

We know most of you can't make it to Toronto for our live training. We can only teach about 80 of you per year in person.

That's why we built the Mike Mandel Hypnosis Academy. It is nothing short of amazing, and that's why so many hypnosis professionals recommend us, and so many students refer their friends.

But why listen to me? Find out for yourself just how good the Academy is. It's $1 for a 14-day guest pass.

By the way the guest pass program ends this week.
