Help I’m Too Scared To Practice Hypnosis

New hypnotists worry they’ll look stupid.

So how does one go from reading about hypnosis and watching hypnosis videos to actually hypnotizing people without looking stupid?

We’ve heard tons of similar questions over the years

In this short blog post and accompanying video, we’ll talk about:

  • Why you need practice to get good at hypnosis

  • How to find people to practice with.

  • How to master hypnosis in record time.

Like most things, hypnosis requires practice in order to be done well. But just watching hypnosis videos or reading hypnosis books and online articles isn’t really practice. We appreciate that you like our content, but we want you to actually go out and do this stuff.

Of course having a lot of knowledge about the subject can boost your confidence, but there are nuances to practicing hypnosis you can’t learn from a book or the Internet. It has a lot to do with your personality, how you communicate and what techniques you do best.

We have a vast number of articles on this blog where we teach techniques to become more confident, to be a better communicator and to calibrate how other people respond to you. By all means, read them all, but make sure to get excited about actually applying this theoretical knowledge in your life as a hypnotist.

To get started, it’s best to avoid people who are very close to you. We’re talking about your immediate family and lifelong friends. To them, you don’t have any credibility as a hypnotist yet, so they’ll have a lot of trouble taking you seriously. To better understand why you shouldn’t practice with your family and close friends, click here to read our full blog post on this subject.

It’s no fun trying to hypnotize someone who doesn’t see you as a hypnotist. Because you have no prestige, chances are you’ll be making a fool of yourself. These bad experiences might hinder your ability to feel (and appear) confident, which is an essential trait of any good hypnotist.

It’s a far better option to practice with other hypnotists, either in person or in special online practice rooms, which are available to all students of Mike Mandel Hypnosis Academy (MMHA), our flagship online hypnosis training.

Not only is hypnosis easier when you’re practicing with like-minded hypnosis students, you’re far less likely to feel self-conscious or nervous. This gives you an opportunity to practice that confident and assertive posture every hypnotist needs.

At our MMHA online community, you’ll interact with us and with other hypnosis students from all around the world. We’re as fascinated with the subject as you are, and we’ll be willing to share with you everything we know. We’re also going to give you all the feedback you need so you can get really good really fast.

After a good amount of practice with us, you’ll be all set to hypnotize those skeptical friends and family members who used to make fun of you, and create trances that zone them through the floor.

At the Mike Mandel Hypnosis Academy, we don’t teach you to read hypnosis scripts at people. Instead, we’ll show you the fundamental principles of hypnosis so you can achieve anything you want.

You can get started with the MMHA for free without any payment details. It’s the easiest way to start learning hypnosis today.
