But in all honesty…
Whatever happened to that old tranquility we used to know?

Think Tank Words of the Day: Academics Dioxide Diving
- What’s Elon Musk building up there?
- Chris attempted a “one and a half” off the tower with no skills and a predictable result…
- Mike says academics spend too much time talking about hypnosis and not doing it!
- Another Linda report? Not as such…
- The “Beware Of” list! Richard Bandler couldn’t help me, and now it’s your turn! Nope. Don’t accept the challenge.
- Some people undermine magic and mentalism effects. It’s an artform, folks! It’s not an intelligence test or a contest…
- Build rapport! It helps…
- What kind of medication is the person on? Acetaminophen reduces empathy…
- Traumatized ego states often don’t want to become executive! Medications can keep the vaded ego state in the background.
- “It wouldn’t hurt to try…” Yes it would.
- Mike is very selective in who he works with, and so is Chris!
- Chris teaches people to be happy! He’s not the boss of your brain…
- Don’t diagnose people! We are not doctors…or witches.
- Help people feel better! Tony Robbins did a great job of bringing NLP to the average person. Everyone wants to feel better!
- Don’t deal with pain without a doctor’s permission!
- Steven Blake and the Jacquins have given the world some amazing techniques…
- The Mandel Model of therapy is just a model. It’s a framework through which we look at the client’s issues and problems…
- The client is stuck in a scary labyrinthe!
- We empower people to kill their own monsters and find their way out of the maze…
- Put people at cause! Then the world won’t be “happening” to them!
- We need to know what the client wants! Ask “What would you like to have happen?”
- There’s often a trauma under the surface that must be removed first! Create a tabula rasa – a clean slate…
- We take away negative emotions; not the memories…
- Build those resources! Create empowering states that can help!
- What’s next? This puts the client back at Cause…
- Architecture of Change class is available online here
- There must be a good fit between the client and the therapist
- The client must give the hypnotherapist sufficient information to show they’re serious before a phone interview takes place…
- Remember to affirm autonomy too!
- Some people demand a phone call! They want a half-hour conversation first, but it’s not going to happen…
- Mike looked at handwriting for someone and was asked for an iPhone!
- You must not over-invest your time! You still need to have a life…
- Graphology is the therapist’s secret weapon! It prepares you in advance…
- Mike uses hypnosis in almost every session! It’s like breathing to him…
- What have you done in the past to fix this? What has helped, if anything?
- Michael C Anthony had to perform for drunks on New Years Eve!
- What will happen if you fix this?
- Gil Boyne would continuously ask: “If I go into a deep trance…” and make the subject finish the sentence.
- Some people hug their pain! It gives them a sense of identity.
- What does your problem permit you to do?
- Changework can be hypnosis, NLP, New Code, 6 Step Tapping, Kinetic Shift, Timeline Therapy, etc…
- Remember: You can always tell stories or ask excellent questions…
- Check your work! Make sure you’ve helped the person, and James Tripp is excellent at this.
- You can Future Pace or set up ideomotor signals to check your work!
- Make sure the client is congruent and always calibrate!
- You might use the 6 Step Tapping and the Triple Warmer as homework…
- Clear up one major issue at a time and help the client build momentum…
- Word of mouth is a great way to get new clients. Get testimonials!
Empowering Question: Ask yourself what sort of architecture does my present state remind me of…and what sort of building represents the empowerment I desire…and how will I create it?
