Learning Hypnosis: What To Expect

Hypnosis.

We have all heard of it, and sometimes it is said that “it’s not what you think it is, it’s what you think it is.”

If that sounds confusing to you, congratulations! You are on the right track!

Hypnosis might seem a bit confusing at first. Still, there is a way we can make the process easier to understand and, therefore, much easier to learn. To do this, we will use a metaphor you are probably already familiar with: A swimming pool.

Hypnosis Is Already Part of Your Daily Life

If we think of learning hypnosis as learning to swim in a pool, a new student might be surprised to find they move in and out of the pool several times a day. When they shower, drive or zone out watching TV students are often unaware that they freely move in and out of the swimming pool, known as hypnosis.

It can be a relief for new students to realize that they are already more familiar with the pool than they initially thought!

But what if you are the type of student who still wants to know everything about the subject matter before giving it a go?

When To Start Practicing Hypnosis

There are LOTS of people out there who want to learn everything about the swimming pool before they jump in.

They want to know what kind of gate there is, the type of latch used to open the gate itself, the floor material, and the type of entry points (stairs/diving board/ladder). Some people even think they need a specific lesson on swimming pool stairs (as if somehow covering the stairs in water changes how to use them).

This mindset is understandable. Many people feel they must learn about a topic in great depth before jumping in and actually doing it.

We are not telling you to simply dive into the hypnosis pool and start experimenting. That would waste a lot of your time. What would be a much better solution is to help you start swimming in the pool you are already in.

Here you can watch Mike and Chris explain one way they help their students achieve this

Will I Feel Safe Practicing Hypnosis?

Once you are in the hypnosis learning pool, it is our job to provide the necessary tools.

What if I Fail?

(Read: How To Never Fail as a Hypnosis Beginner).

Failure is only feedback. It means you’re learning something new. Most of us know the feeling of accidentally getting water up our noses for the first time, but we persisted anyway. There will always be new bridges to cross.

Just like learning to swim, the same is true for hypnosis. Many of us know what it’s like trying to hypnotize a partner or a family member, only to be laughed at.

That’s why we’re here to help!

Going underwater in a swimming pool can seem scary at first. But just like learning to hold your breath as you dive, there are steps you must take first before having the confidence to just swim.

The Mike Mandel Hypnosis Academy is recognized worldwide for how simple and fun we make it to learn hypnosis (It’s like having incredible swim instructors who take you from beginner to Olympic Athlete). Sure, you might make mistakes, but we make it fun and always be there to support you in your hypnosis journey.

Imagine how awesome it feels whenever you achieve something, large or small. Now imagine the feeling when you master the art and science of hypnosis. Pretty incredible, right? Mike and Chris take you by the hand and guide you step by step to complete hypnotic confidence.

At the Mike Mandel Hypnosis Academy, we have thoughtfully structured the lessons to support you and give you the moment you need to succeed. Best of all, you can trust us because we have over 70+ years of hypnosis experience, with online and live in-person training events.

Our students range from complete beginners and hobbyists to psychiatrists and other medical practitioners who’ve added hypnosis to their professional practices. Some of the greatest minds are actively present in our community. You’ll always have someone you can link up with and go hypnotically swimming with (figuratively, of course).

We are here to ensure you achieve victory and ride the hypnotic storm with us and other #StormRiders.

In conclusion, to learn hypnosis...

Anything, from swimming to hypnotizing someone, can be learned in bite-sized pieces. By following a logical order, becoming a first-rate hypnotist can be as simple and achievable as becoming a terrific swimmer.

We hope to have you join our community soon! In the meantime, here is a link to a free 11-video course so you can become hypnotic in any conversation.
