My guess is that “imagine” will work just as well as “pretend”. Of course you don’t have to do that at all. You are free to pretend to imagine…

Masterful communication. Your teachings are the reason hypnosis is easy. My only problem now is, that I have become so good at making up inductions on the spot that I can never remember the actual steps in the original inductions. ;-P
