Self Hypnosis For Sleep

self hypnosis for sleep

It was a few years ago that I found myself awake in the middle of the night. It was two or three in the morning and I couldn't sleep. This was not the first night.

In fact, for many nights I suffered with insomnia. I couldn't sleep. Nothing I tried worked. I mean it, nothing.

I tried all kinds of things to help me fall asleep quicker. Supplements, taking cold baths, hot baths, reading books, even wearing a sleep mask. You name it and I either tried it or researched it enough to not want to try it.

Note: I refused to go to a doctor to get a prescription for sleeping pills. I have no desire to rely on sleeping pills to do the most natural thing in the world - fall asleep every night. That makes no sense to me. There has to be a better way right?

Suffering From Insomnia

So, I went about my life in a sort of half-sleep drunk stupor. I never got enough sleep to feel good on a daily basis. Oh sure, I'd sleep when I was so exhausted that I couldn't stay awake anymore. But most nights I just wasn't getting enough sleep.

When it was at its worst, I would be awake for 20-30 hours at a time and would become physically ill. Luckily, that didn't happen very often. Still, it is not a place I wanted to spend the rest of my life.

This sounds cliche, but there had to be a better way! Why was I so stuck with insomnia every night?

Sigh... I get frustrated even telling this story.

Finding Hypnosis And Hope For My Sleep Problems

Later I stumbled on the Brain Software Podcast. That is when I started learning about Hypnosis and NLP. It was both fascinating and hilarious. I got hooked on the podcast. I'm still hooked on the podcast.

For weeks I would listen to the episodes on my lunch break or on the drive to and from work. It was a whole new world to me. At that time I didn't know much about hypnosis at all, beyond watching a stage show once in high school.

One day Mike and Chris mentioned the A Good Night's Sleep - Hypnosis for Sleep program. I was intrigued. Actually, that's not entirely true.

I was desperate for sleep and I was willing to try anything that made sense. After learning about hypnosis, I was willing to take a chance on this thing.

Can Hypnosis Really Help Me Sleep? Let's Find Out!

So, I read the sales page, thought it over, and bought it for something like $60. The price may have changed since then, but that's what I remember paying. I mean, it was in that ballpark anyway.

As I recall, it was summertime and I was outside grilling delicious steaks when I purchased the program and started listening on my phone. The product has two audio tracks.

The first track is full of useful information about sleep and insomnia and various ways to fall asleep quicker. It is meant to seed the conscious and unconscious mind with opportunities and ideas to fall asleep better.

The second track is the hypnosis track where Mike gently relaxes you and guides you into the most peaceful sleep ever. Well, I think that's what it is. In some ways it's a bit of a mystery to me still...

Trying Sleep Hypnosis For Myself

As I was grilling, I sat and listened to the first audio track. There were tons of great ideas that set my mind into motion. I determined to try out the hypnosis track that night and set a new bedtime of 10:00 pm.

Just to be safe, I started my bedtime ritual at 9:00 pm that night. Getting kids to bed, brushing my teeth, and so on takes longer than I realize. By 9:45 pm I was in bed with my earbuds in, starting the hypnosis track.

At first, it was nice and relaxing. Not anything game changing. But, after I let my mind wander along with the hypnosis track I guess it fell asleep.

That was exciting. Well, the next morning when I woke up it was. It worked!

The Sleep Hypnosis Product Worked Once, But Did It Keep Working?

But, at the time I was still a bit skeptical if it would keep working. So, I kept my bedtime routine and every night for the next few weeks. I used the hypnosis track and fell asleep with no problems whatsoever.

And I began to notice something strange...

Each night I fell asleep faster and faster. After a few weeks a few seconds of the hypnosis track was enough to send me on my way to sleep.

This was the start to me studying the magical field of hypnosis for myself. I later realized that all hypnosis is self hypnosis and self hypnosis for sleep works like magic! This changed my life for the better.

Just Like That, No More Insomnia!

Now when I need to fall asleep I don't even need the hypnosis tracks or anything else. I close my eyes and remember the voice and the words of the hypnosis track and through the incredible power of self hypnosis I sleep deeply, and rest fully.

This is especially useful when I need to travel or sleep in an uncomfortable environment. My mind already has the cues and the hypnotic programming to fall asleep, so it just does. Amazing right?

So, that is the story of how Mike Mandel's A Good Night's Sleep hypnosis product cured my insomnia. A lot of time has passed since then, and I am forever grateful for how much better my sleep is now. I'm so glad I took a chance on that product. It was worth every penny!

Oh And To Answer Your Initial Curiosity...

Yes, self hypnosis for sleep works. To me it's like magic.

Want To Fall Asleep Effortlessly?

We spend one third of our lives sleeping (or at least lying there, hoping to sleep). Sleep is a necessary investment of your time to heal, rest, and rejuvenate. But what if you lie there in bed unable to sleep?

It doesn't have to be this way. You can reprogram your brain to fall asleep easily every night and wake up feeling amazing. What are you waiting for?
